J. Elizabeth Designs prides itself in kindness, service, quality product, and versatile design.
Jill has been in the floral industry since 1997. In 2003 her mom, Debora, and herself established J. Elizabeth Designs. They started the business, both while still working part time jobs, in Debora’s kitchen and eventually moved to Jill’s freezing cold basement. Jill’s fondest memory during that time is having her baby girl with her while she was working. In summer of 2011, they moved to a studio space at the Mellwood Art Center. At this time Jill was able to quit her part time job and be a full time florist. While at the Mellwood, J. Elizabeth Designs became known for their everyday floral arrangements as well as their wedding florals. Friendships formed while there continue to this day. In October 2013 they moved to the Lyndon area, where they are currently located. This location has given them the ability to grow a vast inventory, clientele, with amazing connections and friendships in the industry.
Although wedding florals have always been a favorite, expanding into corporate events has allowed J. Elizabeth the privilege of designing events for people and businesses such as the Justin Thomas foundation, Horses, Hats, and Harmony Derby Gala, Woodford Reserve, Mass Mutual, PGA, Kentucky Country Day School, St. Xavier High School, Kendra Scott, D. Wayne Lucas, and Bob Baffert.
Jill enjoys the many aspects of wedding and event design, from wedding dresses, to stationary, and of course the flowers. For years her main focus has primarily been on the floral design for events, occasionally branching out into more design aspects, including but not limited to linens, place settings, and signage. This has allowed her passion for full scale design options to fully blossom, allowing the design for any event to be cohesive and executed to it’s fullest potential.
